For Thousands Of Years The Sages Have Been Telling Us.
'When we investigate our minds at any moment, we perceive neither colour nor form to verify that it exists. Yet we still cannot say it does not exist, for many differing thoughts continually occur. The mind cannot be considered either to exist or not to exist. Life is an elusive reality that transcends both the words and concepts of existence and nonexistence. It is neither existence nor nonexistence, yet it exhibits both qualities.'
- Nichiren Daishonin 13th Century Buddhist Leader
Recognising we don't know what we are, only that we are, we can stop limiting what we are and blocking our innate indestructible wholeness.
As we acknowledge, we have no convincing evidence that this awareness, which is our true nature, is not the source of everything; it occurs to us that we do not know we are not the source of everything. We could be.
Though the whole world told us we were a separate person trying to connect to happiness, we can see that we can choose to rest in our awareness as if we are the source of everything resting in itself and not a person trying to connect to it.
Why continue to listen to any thought that indicates we are not when there is no convincing evidence from our direct experience that it is true?
As we do so and feel the great fullness of our being instantly, this result proves by its own validity that it was only our lack of recognising the true meaning of what we are that held us back, keeping us believing we are a separate, aware person.
Will our life fall apart?
Was it always this simple?
Understanding ourselves to be the source of everything and resting as that we understand that no thought or perception can harm us, for we are always present and never changing.
Understanding ourselves to be the source of everything and rest as that we can find no space between ourselves and all we are aware of, and it is clear this reality we are is all there is, and everything our mind perceives is a ripple of our being.
And the mind can take its place and relinquish the need to try in vain to control the flow.
Understanding ourselves to be the source of everything and resting as that we feel the power of love that is this flow, and note its miraculous reality, that is not a belief or figment of our imagination, and that we can surrender ever more into.
And as we do so, the power of our heart leaves behind the force of our mind.
